Butterflies of the Pentlands leaflet
As part of a project to photograph all the species of butterfly known to be in the Pentlands, Bob Douglas has produced a pictorial guide to the twenty species which have now been recorded. Two were officially recorded for the first time in 2021. See the information leaflets page.

After a two-year closure due to Covid restrictions the Robin Aitken Bird Hide at Bavelaw has re-opened.

A couple more downloadable information leaflets have been added: Pentland Rocks! a guide to the geology of the Pentlands, and a pdf version of the Pentland Place-Names booklet.
Event Details Update
The talk on by Dr Joanna Soden on “The Pentland Hills through Artists’ Eyes” has been rescheduled for Tue 22 March (from Thu 24). Full details are now on the Events Page.
PHRP Joint Committee
We are pleased to report that the Friends of the Pentlands has now joined the Pentland Hills Regional Park Joint Committee as a voting member in order to act as ambassador to the users of the Regional Park.
