Description
The Pentlands has been populated for over 5000 years, from pre-historic times, through Roman occupation, medieval dark ages up to the present day. As a result there is a rich heritage of languages and legends which have given names to the multitude of hills, valleys and historic habitations found in the hills.
Pentland Place-Names is a booklet which gives an insight to the likely source to the names and description we use today.
